Self care doesn't need to take hours on end, it can literally be a few simple minutes a day of anything for YOURSELF. Something that is just, well, for you.
The benefits of taking the time to do things that you love will help you improve both your physical health and mental health. For us, self-care has been the most critical thing in helping us run our business and our families, in assisting our anxiety, managing our stress levels, lowering our risk of illness (stress leads to illness!!) increasing our energy and enhancing our moods!
Below are our TOP 5 SELF CARE RECOMMENDATIONS we are LOVING this month!
1. EFT Tapping
Got 5 mins or 15 mins, EFT tapping is your guy. We dont always have time for a 20 minute meditation so to reduce our stress levels, we turn to EFT tapping. Basically it's something you do with you eyes open (so you can literally do it anywhere) where you tap on certain meridian points whilst affirming statements. It immediately reduces my anxiety and stress and very easy to do in the car, watching TV, cooking - basically anywhere. Being time poor Mums, this is something we can fit in each day and absolutely feel the benefits immediately afterwards. It can also help with energy, sleep, anxiety and manifesting.

2. Hydrogen Water
We aren't sure if this a gimmick but we are here for it. We seriously find ourselves easily reaching 3l of water a day when drinking Hydrogen water. It tastes so fresh.
Hydrogen water is said to hold antioxidants, increase your energy, reduce inflammation, and reduce your recovery times after workouts.
As we said, we are not sure if it does all this but we are willing to take the chance and if nothing comes from it, at least it makes drinking water so EASY!
3. Living Libations Seabuckthorn Oil
OMG - this has been the number 1 thing Lucy has ADORED incorporating into her routine and goodness she has been glowing since adopting it! This oil has a cult following for a reason, it glides on, absorbs well and leaves your skin with the most beautiful glow known to man.
She cleanses with it by putting a few drops on a cotton pad with warm water and cleansing her face OR puts it on as her moisturiser after serums. It is honestly INSANE. It's so so so beautiful and she just loves that it's so natural and simple. It is said to help with acne, ageing and dehydration.
4. Peppermint oil
We are often low on energy, and we love energy. Who doesn't? So this is a health hack we are using every day. All you need to do it put a few drops of peppermint oil on your palms, rub them together and hold them in front of your face and inhale deeply. Then rub your hands on the back of your neck. You will feel a beautiful tingling sensations and honestly, your feel soooooo fresh. Its like that clean, refreshing feeling after brushing your teeth but over your whole body. If you are low on energy and want a quick burst, this is seriously the best and we can guarantee you will feel ready for your day.
5. LUKA overnight oats
We are creating this on the regular in these colder months, as oats are so warming and with LUKA added, they taste like a sweet chocolatey dessert, but healthy. It's quite extraordinary. Our kids love it, husbands love it and parents love it - as always with LUKA, they cant believe something that tastes this good is this delicious.
1.5 cup rolled oats
1.5 cup milk (we love Oat)
3 tablespoon chia seeds
3 tablespoon maple syrup
2 tablespoons of shredded coconut (you can leave this out if you want to keep it simple)
Mix together, cover, then put in the fridge overnight.
Serve with a huge dollop of COYO and nuts, seeds and a drizzle of maple syrup.
This recipe can also be made on stove top in the morning in 15 minutes for something a bit warmer!
